FAQ:Why BYOD at Coffs Harbour Senior College?
This is a link to the information on BYOD that has been provided to all students and parents. BYOD@CHSC Where do I go to get my device connected to the wireless network/Internet? Please take your device to the Technology Service Desk in Student Learning Centre (located underneath the library). Where do I go if I've forgotten my username or password? Staff at the Technology Service Desk can assist you in resetting all of the passwords required for campus computer, Internet, email and Stile access. Where can I borrow a laptop or other equipment? Laptops, tablets, cameras and a variety of multimedia equipment can be borrowed on short-term loans from the Student Learning Centre. If my device is broken or stolen on campus or at home will the College repair or replace it? No. Care and maintenance of BYOD devices are the responsibility of the student. Suspected theft should be reported to campus security. Who should I see if I accidentally leave my device somewhere on campus? You should first ask the teacher you had for the class you suspect you misplaced the device in. They may also be able to check if another College class used the room after your class ended. Most classrooms also feature a timetable of classes that use that room outside the room. Lost and found items can also be found with Campus Security at the Library end of A Block or Admin at the front of the campus. Devices found in computer labs are generally left with the Technology Service Desk. |
