Get your device connected to the free campus wireless network...
Staff at the Technology Service Desk in A Block are more than happy to assist you to connect your device to the campus wireless network and will advise you on how best to manage switching between the proxy between home and school. However, if you'd like to attempt to connect your device to the wireless network without assistance you will need:
NOTE: When using the campus wireless networks you are accessing the Internet via a proxy. This requires different browser settings to when you access the Internet from a private or home network. To avoid having to turn these settings on and off between home and school several options exist:
- the use of network 'Locations' (Mac users only)
- using a different browser for home and another for on-campus - this is the method supported by the Technology Service Desk. If you wish to utilise either of the other options you will need configure them without Service Desk support.
